{some scrappy stuff}

a few scrap-happy things to mention today... :)

#1 - the Fiskars Crafts website has a new project-a-day calendar - lots of gift ideas for the holidays - you can see the whole calendar at-a-glance here > CLICK.

one of my projects popped up yesterday...

a mini album that I did of Ev...  lots of new American Crafts going on, on it.  And my FAVE Bo Bunny tone on tone polkas.  :)

#2 - my friend May Flaum's new Big Picture class: Using Kits (check it out here: CLICK!) starts today.  She did a super-fun lift of one of my favorite layouts - remember this one?? - for part of her class.  If you are a fan of online classes, def take a peek at hers - registration runs through Nov 11th!

(and last but not least...)

#3 - this.  So so so so SO excited to have been asked to join the 2010 CK dream team.  I adore the work of the other ladies on the team, and think it will be a super-fun year!  :)  so renew your subscriptions.  ;)

{halloween '09}

halloween came and went.

evan was a baseball player...

(please ignore my disgust-o door mat.  i realized how gross it was in these pics and bought a new one at target first thing this morning!)

toby was a turtle...

 

(but he was only "a turtle" for about 3 minutes tops, bc evan screamed when i put toby's costume on him - he DID not think that it was as cute as i did!)

evan trick or treated with a friend - who was a rock star trick or treater - evan on the other hand cried every time i told him to go get candy from someone.  ;)

we will have to "practice" more next year.  ha.

he did however enjoy his stash of candy and loot after the trick or treating was done.

 

m&m's and pretzels score big in evan's opinion.

i, on the other hand, took all of his whoppers and milk duds.  yum.

i spent a fabulous weekend (last weekend) in nyc with kelly.

she took me everywhere!

and reminded me why i LOVE ny.

i got a little dose of fall in central park...

we lunched at a super-fun and totally hip macaroni and cheese bar...

 

who knew 'mushroom' mac would be so tasty?!

i discovered 'crumbs' cupcakes...  YUM :)

we saw 'in the heights' from the CENTER of the FRONT row after winning the ticket lottery...  well actually, the fabulous sarah won it for us :)

we jumped in central park.

(i clearly have not perfected the cute jumping facial expression like kp has ;)

kelly indulged my love of times square - and let me pose for pics.

I got to see the Purl Soho fabric store in person........  it's so super-cute (and tiny!) that I just about couldn't stand it!

& since it was raining on saturday, we saw a second show - a matinee of 'bye bye birdie' - with john stamos in it (cute uncle jessie) ;)

so much fun in just one weekend.

and hopefully the mega-stash of photos in this post makes up for my blog asbsence this week!

just wanted to share a few photos of evan's new obsessive-addiction:

GOLF.

he loves it.

(we think it's adorable)

as in he even can't get enought of our dvr'd golf tourneys on tv - ALL.the.time.

we snuck him onto the putting green at the course at eric's parents house last weekend...

he seriously couldn't believe it!

 i love the little multi-colored club set!

he has a decent swing, putting on the other hand needs some practice ;)

and this is where my son decides its totally easier to just pick the ball up and drop it in the hole ;)

We spent last weekend in south florida celebrating my not-so-baby niece ellie's first birthday!

(just now recovering from that, and then headed away again tomorrow...)

i adore the way she got into her cake.

evan could SO take a lesson on cake eating from her ;)

and paige and evan had oodles of fun amusing each other, as usual...

 

they are so super-cute together.

that's all i've got right now!

{playdoh pancakes}

does anyone else's child think playdoh pancakes are as yummy as evan does?!

 

we've had to lock all our playdoh up for a few days...

getting tired of picking it out of teeth....

ps - totally did NOT intend to take a pic of him eating the playdoh - as we are so NOT encouraging it - just happened to have the black backdrop up for another reason, asked evan to stand there while i tested my settings, and then got this very typical outtake...  so i felt the need to share ;)

I meant to post this at the start of last week...

but am just now getting to it.

which tells me how insane last week was...

I happen to have an extra and thought a blog give-a-way would be fun.

besides being swamped with work, i've also been overhauling my office...

definitely trying to get a handle on how out of control my product stash has become.

i've taken the 'no mercy' approach.

which means pretty much everything - except recently released stuff, is going!

i LINED the hallway outside my office with boxes of junk. (iphone pic!)

(and whoa, i had the first collection of basic grey still in my stash, stuff like SEI Fruitstand, and old school KI)  >>  it was time to part ways ;)

and it feels SO good!

i've been working on and finishing up lots and lots of fiskars projects.

mostly sewing.  and quilting.

thanks for all the quilting comments - i will SO try to post a "warning" post in the future...

((good idea!  i'm still surprised that they go so fast...))

i only have one more quilt to post anytime in the near future - its an amy butler larger baby quilt - very girly - and clean with white sashing - and its sitting all pretty in my office waiting on binding.  after that i have a few custom orders to work on & keep me busy for a while :)

so for now, here's another layout from my little scrap-a-palooza last week.

and the product is lots and LOTS of new american crafts stuff from the junior line.

(sidenote: evan loves when i say "ugggggggggggggghhhhh" >> he thinks it is "funnn-eeee" as he would say, and always answers back with his own little mimicking "uggggggggggghhhh")

evan and i are headed out for the afternoon to visit the turtles (i don't know if i've blogged this, but evan is obsessed, & they are so a part of our life these days!) and buy toby some treats...  a pic of evan splashing at the turtle park (its like a group of connected ponds outside maggiano's at our mall, with turtles, ducks, and fish - not REALLY a park...) this weekend...
